517 FXUS64 KLUB 191944 AFDLUB Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Lubbock TX 244 PM CDT Sun Aug 19 2018 .DISCUSSION... Although a front has already pushed through the region a stronger push to the front will come early Monday morning. It will come with the arrival of drier surface air and winds a touch stronger. Continued upslope flow in eastern New Mexico will likely develop convection near the Raton Mesa later this afternoon into the evening. This activity will make a run at the western South Plains/extreme southwestern Texas Panhandle this evening. Broad subsidence in the wake of a departing short wave aloft and on the upstream side of an upper level jet will make it tougher for convection to reach the FA. Relatively dry near surface conditions will keep things dry for Monday. After Monday, an upper level ridge will build fairly close to directly overhead. This will lead to warmer than normal temperatures and little chances of northwest flow storms. && .LUB WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... None. && $$ 01
