Although warmer temperatures are expected ahead of the front today, the chances for showers and a few thunderstorms will be increasing from mid to late morning and into the afternoon across the area. The chance of showers will exit the area tonight, but the break in the wet weather will be short lived with more rainfall expected on Friday and Friday night. Highs today will range from the upper 50s over southwest Minnesota tot he mid 70s over southern Nebraska. Lows tonight will fall into the upper 40s to lower 50s. $$
