IEMBot messages are now being syndicated onto Twitter. This feature has been working for a while, but just recently I got a message rate restriction lifted and now IEMBot can speak his mind via the 122 children he now has. One child per NWS Forecast Office!

The relevant IEMBot's for local Iowa offices include:

• Des Moines
• Davenport
• La Crosse
• Sioux Falls
• Omaha

In general, the twitter user is iembot_xxx, where xxx is the call letters of the local NWS office. You can find your office's call letters here.

Thanks to the excellent libraries IEMBot is written with, this took a mere 7 lines of code to implement! The messages delivered to twitter could use some formatting help and that will be improved in the coming weeks as I get feedback and play time allows :)
