308 FNUS75 KSLC 030202 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for Cherry...USFS National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 802 PM MDT Thu Oct 2 2025 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 2000 MDT on October 02. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Southerly winds will continue to increase overnight and through the day tomorrow as a strong cold front approaches the fire. Winds will be strongest Friday afternoon into the early evening. The front will cross the fire late Friday evening or very early Saturday morning, and winds will shift to the west or northwest and decrease. Though there will be scattered showers as early as Friday afternoon, the best coverage of showers will be along and behind the front during the overnight hours, with fairly widespread rain continuing during the day Saturday before tapering off Saturday evening. There is a chance of gusty and erratic winds any storms that develop, but overall much of this event will bring more in the way of steady rain, heavy at times, than gusty winds.
