This will bring some much needed rain from time to time across the Keystone state this week. Widespread cloud cover will persist for much of the day today, but there should be some improvement/breaks in the low cloud cover late this afternoon, near and to the east of the Susquehanna Valley. Low temperatures to start the day today will range from near 50 across the Northeastern Poconos to the mid and upper 60s across the Southwestern third of the state. The breaks of sunshine this afternoon will help high temperatures reach into into the low and mid 70s across the Northern and Western Mountains, to the lower 80s in the greater Philly and Pittsburgh areas. Several weak waves of low pressure drifting northeast from the Ohio River Valley ahead of a slow moving cold front, will bring several round of showers and possibly a thunderstorm. The most widespread shower and thunderstorm activity is expected on Tuesday and again on Thursday. Daily highs will be mainly in the 70s and lows in the 50s to lower 60s. $$
