...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN MIAMI...
SOUTHEASTERN JOHNSON...NORTHWESTERN CASS AND SOUTHWESTERN JACKSON
COUNTIES THROUGH 1130 PM CDT...

At 1106 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northwest of Cleveland, or 8 miles southwest of Belton, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Grandview, Belton, Raymore, Spring
Hill, Peculiar, Cleveland, Chiles, Bucyrus, Stillwell, and Stanley.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 435 between mile markers 73 and 77.
 Interstate 49 between mile markers 163 and 179.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
