High temperatures will range from the upper 70s in the Pocono Mountains to around 90 degrees in the lower elevations along the Maryland line to the east of the Allegheny Front. A sweltering summertime sizzle will persist through midweek with high temperatures in the low 80s to low 90s. When factoring in the humidity, most of Pennsylvania will be in a moderate (level 2) or major (level 3) heat risk. A level 3 heat risk affects anyone without effective cooling and or adequate hydration. A significant pattern shift will deliver a prolonged stretch of comfortably cooler and refreshing conditions to start the month of August. $$ MRS
