Surface high pressure centered off the coast of the Gulf of Maine 
and stretched back westward across all of New England and into the 
eastern Great Lakes and Ohio Valley will maintain hot and humid 
conditions today. Late tonight through Friday, a weak cold front 
will drop southeast across the region supporting showers and 
thunderstorms, where some of the stronger storms may yield heavy 
rainfall Friday. The chance for showers and thunderstorms then 
continues throughout the weekend (with the best chance being 
Saturday night into Sunday morning). However this being said, the 
weekend won't be a complete wash out with some dry time.
