A mix of sun and clouds this morning will give way to increasing clouds with rain spreading west to east mainly across the southern half of the Commonwealth. Thunderstorm downpours are likely to develop by this evening into tonight over south central and southeastern Pennsylvania and may result in flooding caused by excessive rainfall. Additional rainfall is expected during overnight hours into early Saturday morning and could lead to additional flooding concerns over parts of eastern Pennsylvania. The last day of May on Saturday will be breezy and noticeably cooler with rounds of showers and possibly a gusty thunderstorm over the extreme southeastern part of the state. Expect a drying trend to begin on Sunday with temperatures forecast to warmup through next week. $$ MRS
