...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall 
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northern West Virginia, including the 
  following counties, Pleasants and Tyler.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams continue to rise due to excess runoff 
  from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1245 PM EST, the gauge reading at Middle Island Creek at
    Middlebourne was 16.2 ft and slowly falling. Minor flood
    stage is 16.0 ft.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    St. Marys, Middlebourne, Belmont, Arvilla, Point Lookout,
    Wick and Willow Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.

free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
