Winds were light, mainly from the southwest ahead of the front and shifted northerly behind the front at 10 to 15 mph. Predawn temperatures ranged from the upper teens to the upper 20s. The cold front will continue to move southward across mid-America today with temperatures below normal across the region. Otherwise dry weather can be expected across the heartland through tonight as surface high pressure settles southward over the region. High temperatures today will range from the 20s in Iowa, eastern Nebraska, northern Missouri and northeast Kansas to the 40s in Oklahoma, southwest Kansas and northwest Arkansas.
