...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING 
FOR SOUTHEASTERN LITCHFIELD COUNTY...

At 530 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms 
producing heavy rain in Woodbury. Between 5 and 8 inches of rain 
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible 
in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Thomaston, Litchfield, Woodbury Center, Oakville, Northwest 
  Harwinton, Terryville, Watertown, Plymouth, Woodbury, Harwinton, 
  Bethlehem, Washington, Morris, Roxbury, Bridgewater, Bantam, 
  Bethlehem Village, Gulls Hollow and East Morris.

Law Enforcement reports that many roads are closed around Woodbury.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
