Weather hazards expected... Limited lightning risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. DISCUSSION... Wind gusts up to 30 mph will occur through this evening, especially west of Springfield. There are low chances (15 to 20 percent) of isolated thunderstorm across central Missouri tonight. Most areas will remain dry. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. There is a 30-40 percent chance of thunderstorms late Monday morning into the early afternoon mainly north of Interstate 44. If these storms form then large hail would be the primary threat. Confidence is high that severe thunderstorms will form west of the area and move into southeast Kansas and western Missouri Monday evening, generally after 6pm. Initially large hail over 2 inches in diameter, damaging winds and a tornado are the primary threats. However storms will likely begin to form into line segments during the mid to late evening hours with damaging winds and a tornado becoming the primary threats as the line segments move east through the area. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is likely. Additional updates are likely as we approach this severe event. There is a flooding threat however it appears to be localized and dependent on storms moving over the same areas. Highest rainfall amounts are expected north of Interstate 44. Areas of frost are possible both Thursday and Friday mornings. Elevated fire weather danger returns Wednesday through Saturday afternoons. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
