This wintry mix may produce light snow accumulations across areas of South Dakota into Southwestern Minnesota. By daybreak, some locations may have upwards of a half inch of snow accumulations, with potential for 1-2 inches in portions of south central South Dakota. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Snow and rain mixture will continue moving northward Sunday morning, gradually shifting north of Interstate 90 by mid-late morning. Depending on how long precipitation remains as snow, accumulations of a dusting to a few inches may be possible in areas along and north of I-90 by mid-day Sunday. The highest accumulations may take place in areas from Gregory to Chamberlain and Mitchell. Light rain may linger through the afternoon, with another wave of snow and rain moving into the outlook area towards Monday morning. Continued uncertainty lingers on how long snow will persist before transitioning to rain.
