Showers are likely late tonight and early Sunday on the northern slopes from eastern Santa Barbara County to northwestern Los Angeles County. Snow levels will drop to between 2500 and 3000 feet late tonight and Sun morning. Precipitation totals will be one tenth of an inch or less, except locally one quarter to one third of an inch on northern slopes of the mountains in northern Ventura Counties. There could be local snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches in the northern Ventura County mountains above 4500 feet, with an inch or two [possible as low as 3000 to 3500 feet. Light snow accumulations are possible on higher portions of Interstate 5 late tonight and Sunday morning. After Sunday morning, dry weather is expected through Wed, then another system tracking to the northeast of the region may bring a few showers Wednesday night and Thursday. $$
