Isolated to scattered showers will increase across East Texas, North Louisiana, Southern Arkansas, ahead of an upper level disturbance and associated cold front tonight. These should exit the region by New Year's Day morning, with cooler and drier air returning in wake of the cold frontal passage. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. The dry conditions will be short lived as additional areas of a cold rain with embedded thunderstorms begin to overspread the region Tuesday night and Wednesday. However, no hazardous weather is expected with either of these weather systems Sunday night, or Tuesday night into Wednesday.
