...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT IBERIA...NORTHWESTERN ST. MARY
AND CENTRAL ST. MARTIN PARISHES THROUGH 430 AM CST...

At 358 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lake Fausse Pointe, or near Jeanerette, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
New Iberia, Jeanerette, Avery Island, Loreauville, Coteau, Lydia,
Lake Fausse Pointe, and Acadiana Regional Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
