...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN MENARD COUNTY THROUGH
730 AM CDT...

At 647 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles east of Camp Sol Mayer, or 9 miles east of Fort Mckavett,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Menard, Fort Mckavett, The Intersection Of Us-
83 And Ranch Road 1773, Camp Sol Mayer, The Intersection Of Us-
83 And Highway 29, and Us-83 Near The Kimble-Menard County Line.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in San Angelo.
