...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern Cassia
County through 545 PM MDT...

At 415 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of thunderstorms 
extending from 6 miles northwest of Jackpot to 21 miles east of 
Contact, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and create 
         difficult conditions for Fire crews working the Black 
         Mountain Fire.

Locations impacted include...
Oakley Reservoir and Bostetter Ranger Station. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Fire crews working near active fires should prepare for strong, 
gusty and erratic thunderstorm outflow winds that may increase fire 
behavior.
