Expect the typical ebb and flow of coastal clouds each night/morning giving way to sunny afternoon conditions across the interior. Breezy onshore winds will occur each afternoon. && .SHORT TERM... (This evening through Saturday) Issued at 146 PM PDT Fri Jul 28 2023 Patchy stratus and fog linger along the immediate coastline, while inland it's clear this afternoon per visible satellite imagery. It's in the mid 50s to lower 60s along the immediate coastline to the 70s, 80s and 90s inland, about typical daytime temperatures under late July sun. Coastal stratus and fog return on onshore breezes at least locally inland tonight and Saturday morning, temperatures across low lying areas lowering to the 50s except 60s and 70s in the hills and mountains (thermal belts i.e. in the lower level temperature inversion) overnight and Saturday morning. && .LONG TERM... (Saturday night through next Thursday) Issued at 146 PM PDT Fri Jul 28 2023 Steady northwest winds over the coastal waters next week will keep cold water upwelling going, helping to keep natural air conditioning going coastside and afternoon and evening inland intrusion of winds to do the same locally bayside. It'll be coolest at the coast and with little to no change inland daytime temperatures will be warm (80s) to hot (90s to lower 100s) next week. Inland where it's typically hottest daily in the summer, heat risks will vary minor to moderate this afternoon through Monday, minor next Tuesday through Thursday. && .AVIATION...
