At 708 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of 
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly southwest of 
a Tulsa to Fort Smith line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain 
were located in Pittsburg, Choctaw and Mcintosh counties in 
Oklahoma. Movement was to the southeast at around 15 mph. The 
average amount where it rained last hour was around one quarter of 
an inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half. 
Intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast 
for this morning, partly sunny, a chance of showers and a slight 
chance of thunderstorms with temperatures 72 to 80 degrees and south 
winds 5 to 10 mph.
