A few showers reached southeastern and eastern coastal areas of Puerto Rico leaving minimal rainfall accumulations. Minimum temperatures ranged in the mid to 60s in the mountain and to the low and mid-70s at coastal areas. Winds were light and variable. Mainly fair weather conditions will prevail during morning hours, with a few passing showers affecting windward coastal areas. However, local effects and sea breeze convergence will promote development of showers and isolated thunderstorm across the northern half of Puerto Rico in the afternoon. High temperatures today will range from around 90 degrees in the lower elevations to the lower 70s in the mountains. Heat indices between 102 to 108 are expected across the northern coastal areas of Puerto Rico, with a Heat Advisory in effect over north-central municipalities. Across the local waters, seas 3 to 5 feet are expected with winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15 knots.
