Survey Summary:
This weak EF-1 tornado began near the intersection of Cedar Creek
Drive and Dean Road and then traveled north-northeast across the
3132 Expressway, St Helens Drive, Hickory Ridge Road, Meriwether
Road, Parkdale Drive, Walker Road, and then ending along West
70th Street on the southeast side of the Shreveport Regional Airport.
Most of the damage was limited to tree limb damage and tree
uproots, although a few structures were damaged by falling limbs. The most
highly rated damage was between Meriwether Road and Parkdale Road
where a handful of snapped softwood trees warranted a peak wind
speed of 88 mph, which rates this tornado as a very low end EF-1.
A tornadic debris signature from the SHV radar was coincident
with the majority of the track.

.Tornado #2...Stanley in De Soto Parish, LA...

Rating: EF1

End Lat/Lon: 31.9422 / -93.891

Survey Summary:
This short EF-1 surveyed tornado track was on both the west and
east sides of Highway 763, a few miles south of Stanley. Throughout
the short damage track there were softwood tree snaps and many
softwood and hardwood tree uproots. An outbuilding and a single family
residence on the west side of the road sustained roof damage by
wind impacts alone. There was also very minor wind damage to a single
wide mobile home on the east side of the road. Peak wind speed
was rated at 100 mph. It is important to note that a tornadic debris
signature observed from the SHV radar began with the surveyed
damage, but also continued on for roughly another mile east of there.
This suggests the tornado probably continued for some distance after
the end of the surveyed path, although the NWS survey team had no
ground access to survey points immediately to the east.

A special thanks goes out the De Soto Parish Office of Homeland
Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) for their assistance in
locating damage.
