Washington...

  Methow River near Pateros affecting Okanogan County.



For the Methow River...including Pateros...Minor flooding is 
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast 
  to continue.

* WHERE...Methow River near Pateros.

* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Minor flooding of adjacent roads and 
  low-lying areas is likely throughout the Methow Valley from Mazama 
  to Pateros.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM PDT Friday the stage was 10.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.6
    feet late tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    10.5 feet on 06/17/1999.
