A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for portions of the area this afternoon, mainly south and east of Goodland, Kansas. A developing low pressure system in Colorado will intensify and track northeast across the Central Plains today, bringing strong winds to portions of the Tri-State area, mainly south and east of Goodland, Kansas where SW winds will increase to 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph during the late morning and early afternoon, shifting to the NW at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph in the wake of a cold frontal passage during the late afternoon and early evening. Wind of this magnitude may create difficult travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles. Localized reductions in visibility associated with blowing dust are also possible. A cold Canadian airmass will surge southward into the Central Plains tonight, bringing record or near record low temperatures.. and wind chill values a few degrees on either side of zero.. to the region by sunrise Wednesday morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...
