The National Weather Service in New Orleans has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Amite County in southern Mississippi...
  Eastern Wilkinson County in southern Mississippi...

* Until 215 PM CST.

* At 109 PM CST, Local law enforcement reported flooding in 
  Woodville to Crosby . Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Flash flooding is already occurring. Heavy rain has ended, but 
  high water is still possible.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Woodville and Crosby.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
