West to northwest winds will gust to 35 to 45 mph into early this evening. The combination of strong winds, low relative humidity between 25 to 35 percent, and cured agricultural fields will lead to a high fire danger. If a fire were to ignite in this environment, it would spread quickly and be difficult to control. These winds should diminish quickly after sunset. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged and farmers are urged to be cautious during harvest activities. Gusty winds may also blow around unsecured objects, such as Halloween decorations, and make driving high profile vehicles difficult. $$ Haase
