...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following 
  counties, Chatham and Effingham.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 530 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of
    rain have fallen, especially between Pineora and
    Bloomingdale, GA.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area by 7 PM. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Pooler, Springfield, Godley Station, Savannah International
    Airport, I-16/I-95 Interchange, Downtown Savannah, Rincon,
    Garden City, Port Wentworth, Bloomingdale, Guyton, Meinhard,
    Meldrim, Eden, Monteith, Marlow, Pineora, Faulkville,
    Coldbrook and Williams.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
