...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Arizona, including west 
  Flagstaff, Woody Mountain Road, Edge of the World, and portions of 
  the Rafael Fire scar in Coconino County, Coconino.

* WHEN...Until 315 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is 
  imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1210 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
    West Fork Oak Creek, Schultz Creek, JD Dam Wash, Sinclair
    Wash, Volunteer Wash, Sycamore Creek, Hell Canyon and
    Pumphouse Wash.

    Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Flagstaff, Bellemont, Parks, Fort Valley, Raymond Boy Scout
    Camp and White Horse Lake Campground.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 40 between mile markers 172 and 193.
    Route 66 between mile markers 192 and 193.
    Highway 180 between mile markers 219 and 226.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Get out of washes and creeks if you are camping or hiking! Flooding 
is occurring or imminent and will inundate area drainages.
