The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Coconino County in north central Arizona west of Marble Canyon...

* Until 515 PM MST.

* At 210 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain along Soap Creek near Marble Canyon. Between 0.25 and 1 
  inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch 
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Areas along US Highway 89A west of Marble Canyon.

This includes the following highways...
	U.S. Highway 89A between mile markers 542 and 548.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Soap Creek, Badger Canyon and Jackass Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will 
become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could 
become flooded as well.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. 
Normally dry washes, slot canyons and creeks can become raging 
killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
