...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM MDT THIS 
EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN CIBOLA COUNTY...

At 436 PM MDT, Trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 
producing heavy rain across the warned area, focusing over the 
Castillo and San Jose Canyons just north of San Fidel and Cubero. 
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
amounts of 1.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash 
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Laguna Pueblo, Cubero, San Fidel, New Laguna, Skyline-Ganipa, 
  Mesita, Paraje, Seama, Encinal, North Acomita Village, Acomita and 
  Acomita Lake.

This includes the following highways...
	Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 98 and 114.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly or mountainous terrain there are numerous of low water 
crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not 
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
