...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southern Pender 
County through 500 PM EDT...

At 429 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Rocky Point, or 9 miles south of Burgaw, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Rocky Point.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 407 and 413.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
