...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL SAN
MIGUEL COUNTY THROUGH 730 PM MDT...

At 703 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
El Porvenir, or 9 miles west of Las Vegas. This storm was nearly
stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Montezuma, Mineral Hill, San Pablo, Ojitos Frios and San Geronimo. 

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 338 and 340.
 State Road 65 between Mile Markers 4 and 10.
 State Road 283 between Mile Markers 2 and 12, and near Mile Marker
14.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.
