238 FNUS76 KMTR 232010 FWSMTR Spot Forecast for Unmanned Jetski...US Coast Guard National Weather Service San Francisco CA 110 PM PDT Thu Jun 23 2022 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1300 PDT on June 23. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...A return to seasonable summer weather conditions along the region arrived today, including a semi persistent marine stratus low cloud and fog deck along the coast. Short to medium term guidance indicates the marine stratus deck will linger in its current form through the next few days and possibly through the weekend, resulting in limited visibility near the search and rescue site. The most likely scenario for improved visibility will come during the afternoons when solar heating and turbulent mixing from the Big Sur coastal jet clear a portion of the stratus deck between 1 and 6pm, but there remains at best a 1 in 4 chance of no clearing occurring per the high range ensemble probabilities. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy with low clouds and low visibility. Clouds thin during the afternoon and redevelop by the evening. Max temperature.....56-60. .TONIGHT... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy to overcast with low clouds. Min temperature.....49-53. .FRIDAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy to overcast with low clouds in AM. Clouds thin during the afternoon and redevelop by the evening. Max temperature.....56-60. $$ Forecaster...D_PETERSON Requested by...Travis G Addison Type of request...SAR .TAG 2214122.0/MTR .DELDT 06/23/22 .FormatterVersion 2.0.0 .EMAIL travis.g.addison@uscg.mil
