(Thru Tonight) Issued at 146 PM CDT Sun Jun 19 2022 Drier air working its way into the region tonight from the east will allow temps to drop off quite a bit by morning. Morning lows will likely be the coolest we'll see for awhile, in the 60s most places. Lacy && .LONG TERM... (Tonight through Sunday) Issued at 146 PM CDT Sun Jun 19 2022 H5 ridge will maintain control over the weather this coming week. A feature to watch later in the week, Wednesday into Thursday, will be a southward sagging frontal boundary. Models are showing hints that it may get close enough to focus convection near the KS/MO borders, while the H5 ridge flattens/shifts south a bit. The forecast will be kept dry for now, but changes are possible down the road. By the end of the week on into next weekend, the H5 ridge center shifts back overhead and this will be our best shot at seeing some triple digit readings for the first time this summer. Lacy && .AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1230 PM CDT Sun Jun 19 2022 VFR conditions will prevail through the period. Winds from the east southeast around 10 knots this afternoon will gradually calm down after sunset and switch to more southerly by tomorrow morning. Bowlan && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
