630 FNUS53 KLBF 252010 FWFLBF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western and North Central Nebraska for Nebraska National Weather Service North Platte NE 310 PM CDT Mon Apr 25 2022 ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM MDT TUESDAY... ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM CDT TUESDAY... .DISCUSSION... Critical fire weather conditions are likely tomorrow across most of the forecast area. The exception is in the eastern Nebraska panhandle and far western sandhills. Widespread minimum relative humidity of 15 to 20 percent is expected Tuesday afternoon with southerly wind gusts approaching 35 MPH. Winds will be lighter in the eastern panhandle and far western sandhills, so fire weather concerns in these areas will be elevated to near critical. Winds will be lighter on Wednesday as a frontal boundary stalls across the area. Winds will increase from the south on Thursday, however, low level moisture will advect into the area from Kansas, leading to higher minimum relative humidity of 30 to 50 percent Thursday afternoon.
