An isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible across the central and southern Treasure Coast, as well as across the Gulf Stream waters this afternoon. Main threats with any storm that manages to develop will be occasional lightning strikes and locally heavier rainfall. .RIP CURRENT IMPACT... There is be a moderate risk of rip currents at area beaches today. If braving the chilly water, always swim near a lifeguard and never swim alone. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Northeast winds are expected to increase to 15 to 20 knots by this afternoon across the Volusia waters. Then, up to 15 to 20 knots north of Sebastian Inlet this evening and around 20 knots across the Volusia waters overnight. Seas up to 6 to 7 feet possible in these areas by daybreak. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. A moderate risk of rip currents will continue on Thursday. Poor to hazardous boating conditions continuing into early next week, due to a developing low pressure near the state coupled with passage of a strong cold front early Saturday. Gale conditions are likely Friday night into Saturday. This will also produce cold temperatures in the mid to upper 30s Saturday morning north of Orlando. Expect even colder temperatures Saturday night, with freezing temperatures possible south to the northern shore of Lake Okeechobee and interior portions of Brevard, Indian River and Saint Lucie counties. A hard freeze is possible across northern Lake and Volusia Counties. Cold temperatures will continue into Sunday night, with readings near freezing again north of I-4.
