...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern Walker
and west central Jefferson Counties through 700 AM CST...

At 632 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bankhead Lock And Dam, or 19 miles northeast of Holt, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cordova, Dora, Maytown, West Jefferson, Gorgas Steam Plant, Gorgas,
Goodsprings, Barney, Birmingport, Miller Steam Plant, Tutwiler and
Little Shoal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
