878 FXUS64 KBRO 191753 AAB AFDBRO Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Brownsville TX 1253 PM CDT Tue Oct 19 2021 .DISCUSSION...Updated for latest /18z/ aviation discussion below. && .AVIATION...More ideal weather for takeoffs and landings across the Rio Grande Valley terminals right into Wednesday. The only possible fly in the ointment could be a brief period of high MVFR ceilings toward daybreak Tuesday, given a continued gradual increase in surface moisture as well as decent moisture between 925 and 850 mb. That said, not seeing enough of a signal to introduce at this point...so instead have left sky cover as scattered. Could also see periodic cirrus plumes (high VFR) though latest satellite has the thicker plumes well to our north, and layered RH forecasts show gradual decreases in moisture overnight and into early Wednesday as upper level ridge expands from the western Gulf back into south and central Texas. Otherwise, the usual afternoon pickup in east-southeast winds but still less than 15 knots...diminishing below 5 knots between 9 and 11 PM before returning just below 10 knots after 10 AM Wednesday. Not expecting any fog at this point despite slight rises in dewpoints and still light winds with longer night...can't rule it out completely at Harlingen/Valley but appears any weekend surface moisture has largely dried up. 52/BSG && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
