VFR conditions are expected to prevail through the period. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 455 AM CDT Tue Oct 19 2021/ SHORT TERM (Today through Wednesday): As high pressure moves eastward out of eastern Texas, zonal flow replaces it. This will keep our weather quiet and rain-free through the short term period. Due to light winds and increasing dewpoints, patchy fog was kept for the Northern Ranchlands area for the early morning hours for Tuesday with a slight modification to how far south the fog would go. Currently, confidence is low for the air mass to be saturated enough for fog formation in the mid/lower Valley area. Since Tuesday night will be similar to Monday night, patchy fog over the Northern Ranchlands may be needed again. Southeasterly light to moderate winds will remain over the next couple of days with dewpoints steadily climbing back towards normal. Because of the increasing dewpoints and temperatures, Tuesday and Wednesday will start to feel warm and muggy again with highs in the upper 80s and dewpoints in the upper 60s. LONG TERM (Wednesday Night through Monday): A mainly zonal flow in the middle layers of the atmosphere will prevail through a majority of the period, with retrograding 500 mb high pressure developing over the Gulf of Mexico towards the end of the period. This pattern will result in dry weather for a vast majority of the BRO CWFA. Gradually warming temperatures are also anticipated, with values running at well above normal levels throughout the forecast period. MARINE (Today through Wednesday): Light southeasterly flow and low seas at 2 to 3 feet will prevail through the period. Mariners can expect favorable marine conditions through Wednesday. Wednesday Night through Monday: Light to moderate winds and generally moderate seas are expected through the period with Small Craft Exercise Caution and Small Craft Advisory not likely. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
