A weak surface front moved through the Keys yesterday, and has ushered in a cooler and drier air mass across the Florida Peninsula. The frontal boundary has degenerated into a stationary front near Cuba which will reside near Cuba through Wednesday night. A ridge of high pressure will continue to expand across the Eastern Seaboard and the Southeastern United States today and promote fair weather conditions across the Keys and the Southeastern U.S. United States through Wednesday night. In additions, fresh northeast to east breezes will continue through Thursday. The cooler and drier air has caused dewpoint temperatures to fall over the last 12 hours. Currently, dewpoints are near the mid 60s, and there is a chance that dewpoints drop to the lower 60s later this morning. Daytime high temperatures will be near the mid 80s, and the overnight low temperatures in the mid 70s through Wednesday. Late Wednesday night through Thursday, sky cover and rain chances will increase due to an increase in moisture content and moderate instability, which will result in a wet and unsettled weather pattern through Saturday. Early next week, a more seasonable weather pattern will commence. && .MARINE... Northeast to east breezes will prevail over the Florida Keys and local passages through Wednesday night, with winds ranging from 15 to 20 kts. Thursday's breezes are expected to veer to the east for a short period of time before going back to the northeast to east. Small Craft Should Exercise Caution due to the fresh breeze today. && .AVIATION... VFR conditions will prevail for both EYW and MTH into Tuesday night. Dry air advected in from the northeast will keep rain chances below average throughout the day. Surface winds will be out of the northeast at 8 to 11 knots with occasional gusts nearing 20 knots. && .CLIMATE...
