A weak shortwave trough will exit southwest Idaho this evening. Zonal flow will bring dry and mostly clear conditions through Sunday night. Temperatures will be slightly above normal throughout the weekend. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s this weekend, with scattered high clouds throughout southwest Idaho on Friday and Saturday and southeast Oregon on Sunday. Overnight low temperatures will reach the low to mid 30s in southeast Oregon and the mid 30s to low 40s in southwest Idaho through Sunday. LONG TERM...Monday through Friday...Ridge of high pressure continues to amplify east of the forecast area bringing continued dry and warming conditions. This will remain in place through Tuesday with the warmest values expected Tuesday afternoon when values will reach around 10 degrees above normal. An area of low pressure continues to lift northeast through the Desert Southwest as a trough also moves east from the Pacific Northwest. The system originating from the south could produce a few light showers across the eastern portion of the forecast area, though guidance has moved its path further east with a lessened impact. The Pacific Northwest system however is still on track to impact the area as early as Wednesday with a few showers over the higher terrain. As the system moves further over the forecast area on Thursday, expect cooler temperatures, and additional showers across the area with all elevations seeing a potential for some precipitation. This system looks to lower snow levels as it arrives, helping to produce some mountain snowfall through Friday, though accumulation remains in question. && .BOI WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
