066 FXUS64 KMOB 241832 AFDMOB Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Mobile AL 132 PM CDT Fri Sep 24 2021 .NEAR TERM /Now Through Saturday/...Upper level troughing will dig across the Midwest and Northeast CONUS throughout the period, leaving northwesterly flow to persist across the area. At the surface a high pressure remains anchored over much of the Southeast. Dry northwesterly flow aloft combined with northerly flow at the surface continues to support dry conditions with PWATs of around 0.5 inches or less. Rain chances are therefore non- existent which will make for a beautiful weekend. Temperatures this afternoon will reach the upper 70s with a few localized areas potentially reaching 80 degrees. We'll still see a rather large diurnal temperature range as lows remain on the cooler side due to radiational cooling. Much of the area will see lows generally in the lower to mid 50s. By Saturday afternoon, expecting some moderation to temperatures due to influences of the warmer Gulf waters and daytime mixing so highs will warm slightly into the lower to mid 80s. /14 && .AVIATION... 18Z issuance...VFR conditions with a northerly flow around 5 to 10 knots will persist through the period.
