535 FXUS64 KOHX 062308 AFDOHX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Nashville TN 608 PM CDT Mon Sep 6 2021 .UPDATE... FOR 00Z AVIATION DISCUSSION. && .DISCUSSION... If yesterday was lackluster, today has to be stupendous. Sun, a few clouds, a little breeze and highs in the lows 80s? What more could you ask for on Labor Day? Today starts a trend of really nice days -- even Wednesday, when we could see a few thunderstorms on the Plateau, should be relatively nice. In fact, Wednesday might be the only day in the next week to 10 days where some could see rain. That part isn't totally ideal, but with temperatures remaining in the 80s for most of that time, it won't be too bad. Forecast soundings aren't exactly impressive Wednesday, but *a little* heat builds in the afternoon before the front gets here and there's about 30 kts of shear. We'll just call it general thunder chances for now, east of I-65. So 80s all week and only one day with a few people seeing some rain, the next question is, when will this trend end? Maybe the middle of next week? Extended guidance continues to show signs of temperatures creeping back towards 90 on Sunday and/or Monday as a ridge builds into the region ahead of a front (albeit a weak one) that tries to enter the picture. That's so far off, much will change between now and then. For now, have a safe and great rest of your Labor Day. && .AVIATION... 00Z TAF DISCUSSION. BNA/MQY/CKV/CSV...TAF's are VFR.
