035 FXUS64 KMEG 062039 AFDMEG Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Memphis TN 339 PM CDT Mon Sep 6 2021 .DISCUSSION... The latest surface analysis places a cold front south of our area allowing for clear skies. Drier air will continue to push in from the northwest through the rest of the day, allowing for lower dewpoints today and overnight temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. Enjoy this beautiful night while you can. Unfortunately, we'll have a chance to warm up by Tuesday ahead of the expected front by Wednesday. Temperatures tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 80s with lows in the 60s. The aforementioned weak cold front looks to be a dry one with limited chances of precipitation. If areas do get any rain, timing should be by Wednesday afternoon as the front pushes south and possibly gains moisture. The lucky ones that could see showers will be south of I-40. Thankfully this cold front will lower dewpoints for the region. Areas near the Tennessee River will see low morning temperatures in the mid 50s. This below normal humidity will persist through late week. A ridge will build in from the west allowing for dry weather. Expect highs in the 80s with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s each day. Enjoy this dry weather as the first chance of appreciable rain won't arrive until the following week. SWB && .AVIATION... /18z TAFs/ VFR conditions will continue through the TAF period.
