The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Southwestern San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 600 PM MDT.

* At 358 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to a slow 
  moving thunderstorm north of Clines Corners and southwest of 
  Villanueva. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. 
  Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen so far.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  mainly rural areas of Southwestern San Miguel County

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Blanco, Cañon, Pueblo, Cañada de and Into Pueblo, Cañada de.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are numerous of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
