Breezy southwest winds will subside this evening at the Walker Creek fire with the passage of a dry cold front tonight. Expect cooler temperatures and slightly higher humidities for Monday with a return of breezy westerly winds. The cooling continues Monday night into Tuesday as an upper level disturbance tracks over the fire with a threat of showers. A stray thunderstorm is possible Tuesday afternoon, while better chances will be to the east of the fire. Winds will become northerly and gusty on Tuesday. The increase in winds may help mix out the smoke by Monday, yet the northerly winds may bring more smoke to the area.
