Northwestern Rowan County in the piedmont of North Carolina... * Until 245 AM EDT. * At 1145 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated a series of heavy rain showers and thunderstorms repeatedly affecting locations across Iredell, northwest Rowan, and Davie Counties. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches have fallen in the past 3 hours, and additional rainfall at rates in excess of an inch per hour will be possible through 2 am EDT. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. * Deep ponding of water will develop in low-lying and poor drainage areas and streams and creeks will rise to near bankfull. * Some locations that may experience flooding include...
