592 FXUS64 KTSA 291847 AFDTSA Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 147 PM CDT Sat May 29 2021 .DISCUSSION... Stubborn low clouds are finally giving way as we head into the early afternoon. Nevertheless, it feels more like March than late May. What a weird spring this has been. Mostly clear skies this evening will likely give way to increasing cloud from the west overnight into Sunday. There will be a chance of showers mainly west of highway 75 in northeast Oklahoma thru Sunday, so the bulk of the area will see a dry weekend. The best mid level isentropic lift will begin to our north and west initially, before shifting down into our region Sunday night into Monday. Rain chances ramp up during this time. Locally heavy rainfall is possible, but the bigger threat for some flooding is expected to stay to our west and south. Below average cool weather will likely persist thru early next week due to clouds and rain, though humidity will be increasing. Storm chances stay pretty low thru Monday, increasing Monday night and especially Tuesday with the return of low level moisture. A weak southern stream trough will keep rain/storm chances up Tuesday and Wednesday, with lower chances toward the end of the week as it passes. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday, with some threat for flooding given wet ground conditions. An organized severe event is not expected, though isolated severe can't be ruled out. Lacy && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
