High pressure over the eastern CONUS will keep mostly easterly to southeasterly flow over the area. Upper level ridging nosing in from the south will cause temperatures to continue to warm, with high temperatures on Monday forecast in the mid to upper 80s, but dry conditions will keep apparent temperatures closer to the mid 80s. Low temperatures overnight tonight are forecast in the mid to upper 50s. .SHORT TERM [Monday Night Through Tuesday Night]... Dry and warm conditions persist through the short term with surface high pressure parked to the northeast and upper ridging overhead. High temperatures remain in the mid to upper 80s on Tuesday, with low temperatures warming slightly into the low to mid 60s as moisture slowly returns to the area. .LONG TERM [Wednesday Through Sunday]... Dry conditions and even warmer temperatures are expected through the long term period. Surface high pressure retreats westward a bit, although remaining north of our area. Upper level ridging strengthens and parks almost directly overhead, shutting down precipitation chances despite moisture return across the area. High temperatures will rise into the 90s this weekend with low temperatures remaining in the mid 60s. && .AVIATION... [Through 18Z Monday] VFR conditions are expected through the period. && .MARINE... Easterly winds will remain moderate through the day today. Easterly winds will continue to be moderate to strong early this week and may reach 20 knots again Tuesday night and Wednesday night. Elevated fire weather concerns are expected across SW Georgia on Monday with relative humidity in the mid 20% range. Fuel moisture and winds should preclude any red flag conditions.
